I am Jess Robinson and I am primarily a ceramic artist who loves just about all media and animals, so you will see a lot of multimedia, outdoors-themed, earth-toned work here, with occasional aesthetic anomalies. I am meticulous in my craftsmanship and eclectic in my taste, so if you would like a custom piece made that you don't see here, send me a message (see contact info page) and we can work out something one-of-a-kind together!
I also love to ride horses, paint, draw, sew, crochet, knit, read, make candles, build things, do glass fusion, play the guitar and fiddle, and have fresh flowers around all the time. (No, I don't have cable).
Art is my emotional, physical, and intellectual outlet, so often the pieces you see will have a very personal meaning for me- they are my bittersweet moment with a loved one, my (terrible) dancing to that great new song that was just released, my confusion in a new situation, my ignorance-become-embarrassment, my giddy excitement at a revelation, or my frustration taken out on the biggest block of clay I could slam around for a while. Whether as part of my joy or sorrow, creating art is an integral part of my life, and I hope you find at least one piece tucked away in Catharsis in Clay that speaks to you, and adds a little something special to your life.
